Peter Mitchell

Peter has been in real estate since March 1985. Following a five year stint in Sydney, Peter returned home to Orange in 1990 to work for Elders Real Estate. Two years later Peter joined his father at Richardson & Wrench where he worked for 11 years.  In 2005 Peter bought the rental business from the owners of Richardson & Wrench and started Peter Mitchell Property Management, the key to the new venture managing rental properties only. The business has been going for over 15 years and prides itself on being a small company but treats everyone equally. Landlords and tenants alike are an important part of who we are.

Brooke Tonkin

Helen was born and raised in Orange to Italian immigrant parents. After finishing her schooling Helen joined the Commonwealth Bank where she worked for 20 years. After deciding she needed a change Helen started working at Westfund Health Insurance in Orange for12 months. She then went on to work at Orange Dermatology for almost a year before deciding to start a career in Real Estate. In 2007 Helen joined her husband Peter in the business at Peter Mitchell Property Management. To unwind Helen enjoys going to the movies, completing jigsaw puzzles and collecting vintage and antique items.

Helen's attention to detail and thorough documentation make her a great Property Manager.

Brooke joined Peter Mitchell Property Management in November 2017.
Prior to joining the Peter Mitchell team Brooke worked locally for many years. Brooke is currently undertaking her real estate license to further her knowledge in the Real Estate field. In her downtime, Brooke enjoys spending time with her loved one's, friends and her dog Bud.

How many properties do you currently manage?
Over 350 properties are on our books.

In the event no one is in the property what methods will you use to attract tenants?
We advertise every property on the internet, our website, and as needed on social media.

How many inspections a year do you carry out?
We do 2 inspections per year plus any in-going and outgoing inspections. Additional inspection with the landlord can also be arranged.

How do you monitor the tenant care of the premises?
It starts with careful tenant selection in conjunction with the owner, in addition to the inspections we do. We also get good feedback from our tradesmen who report back to the office if the property is not well kept.

What can you do for us that another property manager can’t?
Longevity and a happy office. Local knowledge means the difference between an average property manager and an efficient property manager that gets good results.
